CONN Lloyd E. of E. Sandwich, Dec 16, 2000, died Saturday at South Shore Hospital after a short illness. He was 96. Born in Sangerville Maine, he lived most of his life in Melrose until he retired to Sandwich.
He was a former member and chairman of the Melrose School Committee, former member and chairman of the Melrose Board of Appeals, and a Member of the Selective Service Advisory Board during World War II. He represented Melrose in the Legislature for twelve years from 1957 to 1968. Mr. Conn was a practicing trial Attorney for over 50 years. He was a member of the Executive Board and Legislature Committee of the Massachusetts Trial Lawyers Association.
He was also past president of the First District Eastern Middlesex Bar Association. He leaves his wife Josephine V. Conn of Sandwich, MA, his daughter, former State Representative Janet O'Brien of Hanover, his step-daughters Nancy M. Roth of Melrose, Joanne L. Dickinson of Maine, Brewer of New Hampshire, eight grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

(781) 893-6260. GREENSPAN Barbara Meyer, Psychologist, wife mother of two sons died DeCember 19,2000 at her home in Newton. The cause of death was ovarian cancer. She was 55. A prominent and beloved therapist in the Boston community, during the course of her career she treated adults, families, children and couples.
She contributed professional papers on the effects of a therapist's illness on the client-therapist relationship, on women in conflict, and on motherless therapists. She also taught in the Post-graduate Pediatrics Training, at Mass. General Hospital for Children on the effect of divorce on the pediatric patient, relaxation and meditation for children, and in the Oncology Fellows Program at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute on doctor-patient relationships. Diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1992, she remained professionally active until this fall. Dr.
Greenspan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and received her bachelors degree from Michigan State University in 1967 and her doctorate from Harvard University in 1974. She worked at the Cambridge Guidance Center in Cambridge, MA staff member and team leader from 1970-1976, at Concord Academy as school psychologist from 1971-1975, at the Somerville Mental Health Center as a consultant from 1980-1990, and in private practice in her office at home for the past 25 years. She is survived by her husband, Peter, a pediatrician at MassGeneral Hospital for Children, her sons, Tim, a junior at Boston College, and Ben, junior at Newton North of High School, and She her was brother Meyer Milwaukee, WI. an avid, puzzler, gardener, snorkler, book basketball lover, fan, writer, and jigsaw she had a deep appreciation for native American culture. As a professional, she had a unique ability to inspire trust.
She will be remembered for her wonderful smile, her caring spirit and her unflappable courage.
