What has been observed in the developing countries' economy is the dominance of hydrocarbons over exports which have reached 98% in recent years. This may have bad consequences in case oil prices collapse of fuel prices, taking into account that these are related to political, economic, and social variables occurring in the world. Besides, hydrocarbons are vital, yet they are on the way to disappearing. The agricultural sector is one of the most important ones that developing owns, and that is required to develop its way and means of production, which contributes to the development of Middle East countries exports outside hydrocarbon. The most important products are dates, olives, citrus, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, grapes, and apricots. These products are considered the most important products that can contribute to the development of exports outside hydrocarbons.

Investigation of Factors Affecting the International Trade of Agricultural Products in Developing Countries

This paper investigates effective factors on agriculture in international trade on developing countries include Iran, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Brazil, Indonesia, Kenya, Venezuela, Tunisia, Romania, Chile and Mexico using the Gravity Equation (GE) models and panel data for the period between 1991 and 2009. The empirical findings showed that trade in agricultural products were influenced by the growth of the market size of both the exporting and importing country. Per capita income of the importing country ( j Ycpc ) was statistically significant and positive (0.01) for the case of agricultural products in developed countries, but negative (-0.68) and also statistically significant for the coefficient of per capita income of the exporting country trade ( i Ycpc ). In this paper, dynamic analysis of the sale and income four different categories of agricultural products on the Republic of Serbia was described. Differentiating incomes by sales points, all of mentioned agricultural categories was stratified and observed as two separate time series. A comparative statistical analysis and correlation structure of their dynamics was investigated. For this purpose, various statistical methods, based on the time series analysis, was used. This analysis has been shown a high correlation between the incomes of the same, as well as different categories of agricultural products. Therefore, this study should indicate in which direction and to what sectors of agricultural production should be to move more intensive budgetary support.

Marketing processes of agricultural products have a special importance due to their organic structure. Agricultural products are generally marketed through intermediaries due to the small scale of Turkish agricultural enterprises and the lack of organized structures in the sector. Since the actors in the supply chain include producers, brokers, traders, wholesalers, marketers, retailers and consumers, there is an increase in product prices in the process of delivering the product from the producer to the consumer. This increase in the supply chain is called the “market margin”. The high market margin of agricultural products causes the perception that product prices are increased by the actors in the marketing channels and that unfair profits are obtained. Since changes in agricultural product prices have a significant share in consumer expenditures, prices are followed with interest by consumers and consumer behavior changes according to market conditions. In addition, due to its share in inflation, economic management and all segments of economic activity closely monitor the changes in the prices of agricultural products. Changes in the prices of agricultural products are closely followed throughout the country, and they are exposed to speculative approaches, discourses and accusations, especially by the media. This situation causes loss of motivation for those operating in the sector from production to consumption. For this reason, it is aimed to explain the reasons for price increases by examining the supply chains of selected agricultural products. For this purpose, producer and consumer prices of basic agricultural products were determined and market margins were calculated. The result of the study is thought to help producers, organizations and policy makers in the formation of policies related to the marketing of agricultural products and the development of marketing strategies.

Analysis of Factors Affecting The Farmer’s Term of Trade of Fruit Farmers

National development is basically aimed at improving people's welfare. Community welfare has been and will be the main priority of national development, especially the development of agricultural sector. In agricultural development, Farmer's Term of Trade is used as an indicator to calculate the welfare of farmers. This study was conducted with the aim to determine the exchange rate of horticulture farmers in Majalengka Regency and factors affect that exchange rate. This study uses two analytical methods, namely the concept of subsistence and multiple linear regression. Based on the concept of subsistence, this study concludes that the exchange rate of farmers in horticultural sub-sector in Majalengka Regency is quite high in the range of 105.96%. Whereas, by using multiple linear regression analysis, it can be seen that factors that affect Farmer's Term of Trade are land area that has a positive effect on Farmer's Term of Trade (2.909), selling prices that have a positive effect (159.889), fertilizer prices that have a negative effect (186.07), the amount family dependents that have a negative effect (91.811), labor wages that have a positive effect (132.339), irrigation that have a negative effect (97.10), transportation (26.937) and inflation (132.79).
